Wintriss LETS - Technical Data

LETS is a flexible and scalable product that can be configured to perform in applications with many machines and users, or just a few. There are two versions of LETS: the Standard Version and Expanded Version. The Standard version can communicate with up to 18 SmartPACs or 25 LETS Machine Interfaces (LMIs), the Expanded version can collect data from up to 93 SmartPACs or 125 LMIs.

Tags
A "tag" is a data variable that LETS retrieves from the control. For example, if LETS asks for the tag named "PARTS_COUNT", the control would return the current parts count; when a machine is stopped, the ERROR_CODE tag returns a code that indicates why the machine is down.

The SmartPAC 1 and 2 have 16 standard tags that are polled by LETS. Tag counts for machines other than presses can vary depending on the amount of data that needs to be collected from the machine. The LETS Machine Interface (LMI) uses 12 tags.

Hardware Recommendations:
The following hardware recommendations apply to a typical LETS Standard Version installation.

• Machine Type: Server class (dedicated to LETS)
• CPU Type: Dual or Quad Core Processor (Xeon, etc.)
• Clock Speed: 2 GHZ or greater
• RAM: Minimum 2 Gig
• Hard Drive: Minimum 160 Gig
• OS: Windows 2003 Server
• Network Adapter: Minimum 100 Mbps
