Reporting Software - LETS Machine Interface - LMI
Wintriss has just made it easier than ever to collect production information from your
machines with the introduction of four new LETS Machine Interfaces (LMIs).
The LMI is the fastest way to connect virtually any machine to the LETS Factory Reporting Software.
The LMI is Ethernet-ready, and factory configured to drop right in to your existing LETS
installation and begin collecting data.
The LMI communicates via standard Modbus TCP communications, so in addition to communicating with
LETS, it can be used with other data collection software that supports this protocol.
You can use the LETS Configuration Detail page to create custom downtime menus for each machine, and
download them directly to the LMI.
The new LMIs are available with either a color or monochrome screen, and with or without an enclosure
(LMIs without an enclosure can be mounted in an existing panel).
The new LMIs feature an improved downtime selection menu that takes full advantage of the touch-screen
interface to streamline operator input. The LMI also has an additional “Setup” input that
allows time spent doing troubleshooting and setup to be appropriately logged even if the machine is
cycled.
Features:
- Quickly connects any machine to LETS
- User-friendly touch screen interface
- Available in 4 versions: Color or monochrome displays, with or without enclosure
- Significantly lower cost than comparable devices
- Can be used with other data collection software using the MODBUS TCP protocol
- Ethernet Ready, simply plug it in to your existing network
- 32 downtime codes that are fully customizable – both the reasons themselves, and the
menu order in which they appear
- “Forced Dialog” mode can inhibit machine restart until a downtime reason has been sent to LETS
- 7-Digit parts counter with preset
- Ability to enter Operator number, Job number, Tool Number, and/or Part number
Specifications:
INPUT POWER:
INPUTS:
- PNP Input for cycle/parts count (required), +24 VDC Maximum
- PNP Input for machine running/stopped signal (optional): +24VDC On
- PNP Input for scrap count (optional): +24VDC On
- PNP Input for setup mode (optional): +24VDC On - This mode allows the machine to be cycled
during setup and troubleshooting while maintaining the current downtime reason and without
incrementing the parts count
OUTPUTS
- Stop circuit – Dry Contact - 42VDC, 30VAC, 1 Amp max. Used to stop the machine when the
Parts Count preset is reached
- Auxiliary Stop circuit – Dry Contact - 42VDC, 30VAC, 1 Amp max. Used to inhibit machine or
ancillary equipment restart until a downtime code is selected.
